About Ryan
I am an actor and have been giving lessons, both in schools and private tuition, for the past seven years. I am a graduate of The University of York, a Russell Group University, and first started my teaching at Reigate Grammar School, an independent grammar school in Surrey. I have since worked in several different departments in schools around London including St George's in Maida Vale and Dunraven School in Streatham. I have a lot of experience teaching children at primary school level including lessons in english, maths, science, art and drama and can teach english and history up to GCSE Level and Drama and Theatre Studies to A level. I also tutor for LAMDA examinations giving tuition in acting, public speaking and presentational skills.

As an actor, I regularly write and perform my own work. I am a very creative individual and make all of my lessons as creative and surprising as possible. What I do is to find the enjoyment in a subject, which might be lacking for some students. When I discover what this is, I then try to make the lessons as fun as possible to ease frustration and to discover success. Sometimes this may take more time but I am always prepared to put in the preparation and work with the student to develop a good working relationship in order to make the subject relatable, interesting and, above all, entirely engaging.
