About Mellisa
I have been a writing professor for the last 15 years--now for the University of Maryland, Global Campus. I am transitioning out of academia, so that I can focus on helping students, sans the pressure of the academy. I work with undergraduate students of all levels, including ESL students, and I also specialize in Business English.

I approach each topic and every student differently--focusing on a pro-conversation "method," and by offering hands-on techniques and practical applications that students can use in all of their classes. Furthermore, it is critical for a student to learn how to revise and edit their own writing. I help my students hone the necessary skills to do this.
