About Nelisiwe

--- **"Hi everyone, I'm [Nelisiwe Skosana], and I'm really excited to be your teacher this year. A little about me: I’ve always been curious about how people learn and grow, and that curiosity is what led me to teaching. But it’s not just about the subject for me — it’s about the people. I love helping students discover what they're capable of and watching those lightbulb moments when things click. I chose this path because I believe education can change lives — it changed mine. I had a few amazing teachers who believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself, and I want to be that person for someone else. In this classroom, I want you to feel like you belong, like your voice matters, and like this is a space where you can grow not just academically, but as a person too. We’re in this together, and I’m here to support you every step of the way."** --- Want a more casual, fun, or formal version of that? I can tweak it depending on your style or age group.

About the lesson

Start with a class culture where respect, effort, and participation are expected from everyone. Explain your grading policies, participation rules, and classroom norms up front, so students know what to expect.
When you make decisions—like how you grade or assign group work—explain your reasoning. If students understand the "why," they’re more likely to trust the process.
