About Afiya

I am a qualified teacher, who is currently working in the private sector, with experience across a variety of educational settings - individual, group, and classroom teaching.

I have the relevant qualifications to tutor English and Classical Civilisation at secondary level & Latin from beginner to intermediate level.

I focus on building students' confidence and have a record of high achievement in public exams in short time frames.

About the lesson

Through my teaching I create an environment where students feel comfortable and confident enough to explore each subject and topic, discover their own interests, and express their opinions in a way that will develop their ability to gain a deeper understanding of the material at hand. My teaching is tailored to the individual to tackle personal needs and preferences.
