About Nicky

I am taking a gap year before taking up my offer to study Geography BA at the University of Oxford. My A-levels were English Lit&Lang (A*), Geography (A*) and History (A). I have been a childminder since 2017 caring children aged 2-12 years old. I recently worked as an AuPair in Germany for 3 months in which i tutored the children of my host family in English. I have learnt to be patient as well as effectively engage with children whilst volunteering as a gymnastics coach. I am confident that I can not only improve your child’s grades, but teach them to love these humanities as much as I do!

About the lesson

Geography requires deep understanding of processes and case studies as well as the ability to write in a clear and succinct manner. I will cover all of these skills through use of flashcards, repetition, quizzes and practice exam essays - which I will proof read and mark against the real exam mark scheme. I will always adapt my methods to whatever works best for the student and vary exercises depending on the topic. Having just finished A-levels I am familiar with content and have plenty of learning materials to help students from year 7 to year 11!
