About Maria Tiisetso

I'm passionate about teaching because I love sharing knowledge and inspiring curiosity in my students. With a background in Geography and a deep understanding of human interactions with spaces and places, I find joy in helping students connect theoretical concepts to real-world experiences. Teaching allows me to make learning fun and interactive, ensuring that students are engaged and excited about their studies. I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence, ask meaningful questions, and develop critical thinking skills. Above all, I value making a difference—helping students not only succeed academically but also appreciate the world around them in new ways.

About the lesson

As a teacher, my methodology is rooted in making learning fun, interactive, and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved, so I incorporate real-life examples, discussions, and hands-on activities to bring Geography to life. My lessons are designed to spark curiosity and help students see how Geography connects to their everyday lives. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I can teach effectively in these languages. A typical lesson with me is dynamic and student-centered. I also tailor my teaching to different learning styles, ensuring that each student can grasp concepts in a way that suits them best.
