About Ola

I am a recent graduate of King's College London, where I achieved First Class Honours in International Relations. I received A*s in Spanish, Geography and French at A Level, giving me a strong academic foundation in the subjects I teach.

I have first-hand experience of applying to competitive UK universities, having received offers from the University of Cambridge (St John's College), UCL, Durham and Edinburgh. My original application was for Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge, following the Spanish and French track. Although I ultimately changed academic direction, this experience gave me valuable insight into choosing a degree, presenting academic interests and navigating the university application process.

My Spanish developed further during a gap year in Spain, where I reached C1 level and used the language daily for work and everyday life. I am a native speaker of English and Polish and also have working knowledge of French.

From 2021 to 2025, I volunteered as a tutor with TeamUp, delivering lessons to children from refugee and disadvantaged backgrounds. I prepared tailored lesson plans, adapted activities to different learning needs and reported students' progress to my supervisor. I received the SSAT Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards in recognition of my sustained commitment and impact.

These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, adaptability and thoughtful feedback. I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to my tutoring, with the aim of helping students develop their abilities and feel confident in their progress.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, level and goals. I combine clear explanations, interactive exercises and practical tasks to make learning engaging and effective. Depending on the subject, we might work through grammar exercises, practise speaking, analyse Geography case studies, structure essays or tackle exam-style questions. I focus on helping students understand the material, develop independent learning skills and approach assessments with confidence.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I am happy to discuss alternative arrangements. I adapt the pace and content to suit each student, whether they need help strengthening their foundations, improving their grades or aiming for top marks.

I offer Spanish and Geography tutoring at GCSE and A Level, 11+ preparation, university application and personal statement guidance, and essay proofreading. For university applicants, I can help refine ideas, improve structure and provide constructive feedback while ensuring the final statement reflects the student's own interests and voice. I also offer support with academic writing, clarity and argumentation.

My aim is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenges and making steady progress.
