About Emma

I am a final year Humanities (Classics, English, History) student studying at UCD, on track to get a 1:1. I am a recipient of the Maureen Wall Memorial Medal for my results in History in the second year of my Bachelor's degree. I take a keen interest in English literature and have a special affinity with the classics and Gothic literature.

About the lesson

As a final-year Humanities student at UCD (Classics, English, History), I offer structured online English lessons tailored to Junior and Leaving Cert students. Sessions focus on exam techniques, close reading, essay writing, and literary analysis, with engaging, student-led discussions to build confidence and deepen understanding of key texts.

I had the pleasure of teaching Emma during her BA, which she will complete in May 2025. In addition to earning outstanding grades Emma proved to be organised, punctual, responsible, and polite. It is clear that there is a real passion to learn and pursue her favourite subjects all while balancing work and other life responsibilities. I have every confidence that Emma's personality and academic ability will make her an inspiring teacher and a great tutor. Emma will be able to share the skills and processes that have led her to have success at a top university and will support you as you prepare coursework or revise for exams.
