About Kristin

I am a senior college student and enjoy editing, revising and helping individuals write compelling essays that stand out. English has always been my favorite subject but writing and editing is one of my passions. I enjoy reading an individuals essay, then revising and adding an extra oopmh to push them to excel in the future.

All through highschool and throughout my college career so far, I have enjoyed helping my friends with their english essays and giving them advice and revisions that can help help improve their grades. I find it gratifying when they see how simple fixes can improve their writing and give them a better understanding of writing regardless of what level.

In highschool peers would come up to me and ask for assistance with perfecting their papers and making them highschool level and once I enrolled in college the same thing occured. I do it because I enjoy it!

I am a third year college student so I am consistently writing papers for my classes. I also revise and look over friends papers for their courses if they need an extra hand.

About the lesson

I like to check in and see what their relationship with english is and what they feel they perosnally struggle with and want to gain a better understanding of.

I also like to know what grade level they are in, what their current grade is in the class and what grade they are ultimately looking for. From that point I can begin looking over their past papers and current ones and pinpoint areas that need to be addressed. Then I can offer assistance in revising and editing their papers.

I have always worked with students who are in my grade or younger than me. Ranging from highschool to junior year college level.

When looking for a tutor, it is important to find someone who you can be compatible with as well as be able to receive criticism from. You want someone who respects you as a person but also is willing to work with you to acheive your writing goals.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure that you know what kind of help you need. Not just "I dont know" but more so, "I need help with this specific part", or "How can I make my conclusion pop?".
