About James
I am a highly enthusiastic undergraduate going into my second year of studying Classics and Arabic at St. John's College, University of Oxford. I focus on teaching Latin and Classical Greek up to GCSE (having achieved an A* in both at GCSE). I am a young, positive, supportive and energetic teacher who can help with any struggles and nurture love for the subject.

After getting to know the student, lessons are personalised according to their current level with the language, and where they would like to end up. I teach up to GCSE in both Latin and Classical Greek and lessons are typically one hour long. My lessons prioritise interactive evidence-backed learning methods such as active recall and spaced repetition and I use and provide a variety of resources to best fit any individual's learning style. I hope to nurture enthusiasm, passion and positive motivation for the best subject to study!
