About ALICE

I am currently studying at the UBC Sauder School of Business in Vancouver and have experience working as a university Chinese Teaching Assistant. As a native Mandarin speaker who is also fluent in English, I understand the challenges English-speaking students face when learning Chinese and know how to explain concepts clearly and patiently.

I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident speaking and making mistakes. Outside of teaching, I’m interested in music, travel, movies, and creative writing, so I love bringing real-life and cultural topics into conversations to make lessons more engaging and practical.

About the lesson

By taking my course, you can learn Chinese in a relaxed, supportive, and engaging way with a native Mandarin speaker and UBC Sauder student with university Chinese TA experience. My lessons focus on real conversations instead of memorization, helping you build confidence naturally while discussing topics you actually enjoy — such as music, movies, travel, culture, and daily life. With bilingual English support, personalized lessons, and an outgoing teaching style, I make learning Chinese easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable for students of all levels.
