About Rebekah
For four and a half years, I have tutored children from a number of unique and different backgrounds, ages, and learning styles. I have experienced working with children with different mental disorders and learning disabilities, as well as experience teaching children new languages (English and Mandarin). I lived in Singapore pretty much my whole life up until about 8 months ago, so I have had a lot of exposure not only with the Chinese language, but the Chinese culture as well.

It is very important to assess the child before implementing a certain learning style with him/her. Thus, my technique will vary based on whether the child is more of a visual, verbal, auditory, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, or logical learner. This is important so that the time helping the child will be more efficient for him/her to learn, but also so that the child will ideally gain enjoyment in the process of learning and gain intrinsic motivation and interest in his/her homework and studying.

Details
If a session is cancelled, I will not charge for the session, but since I plan my schedule around tutoring appointments, it will be $5 per hour of a cancelled session. For example, if you cancel on a two-hour session, that would be a $10 charge. If you cancel on a one-hour session, it would only be a $5 charge.
