About Aaliyah
I am a fourth-year student majoring in Political Science at McGill University, with a strong academic focus on International Relations, Foreign Policy, Diplomacy, and International Human Rights Law. My passion for global politics led me to study abroad for six months in Geneva, Switzerland, where I deepened my understanding of international institutions, diplomacy, and the global political system. This experience allowed me to develop a more holistic perspective on the interaction between domestic and international political structures.
I am deeply committed to the pursuit of knowledge and believe in the importance of stepping beyond one’s comfort zone as a means of intellectual and personal growth. I am motivated by a genuine desire to help others maximize their potential, whether through academic support, mentorship, or collaborative learning.

My teaching methodology is grounded in discussion-based, collaborative, and inquiry-driven learning. I guide students in developing and expanding their own ideas by identifying gaps in understanding and encouraging deeper critical thinking.
Depending on each student’s needs, I support definition-building, essay outlining, close textual analysis, and the application of theoretical frameworks for both writing and exam preparation. I work with students at the elementary, high school, and undergraduate university levels, adapting my approach to support academic growth, confidence, and independent thinking at every stage.
