About Ayesha
Hello, I'm Ayesha. I am an Oxford graduate with a BA in Egyptology. I am currently undertaking a MA in Egyptology with the University of Manchester.
I have an A* in A-Level History (AQA) and an A in both A-Level English Literature (OCR) and A-Level Classical Civilisations (OCR). I also have 9 A*s and 2 As at GCSE.
I strive to deliver tutoring with care, professionalism, and encouragement.

My teaching style can be adaptable to each student, taking into account each person’s needs and expectations for lessons. I strive to deliver interactive and engaging lessons, where the student feels they can confidently grasp concepts and apply their skills to new areas. My teaching is structured in a way that will reduce reliance on short term, bulk memorisation and build skills in long term recall.
A typical lesson would involve an initial discussion about what the student would like to gain from tutoring sessions, highlighting topics that would require more attention. After this, sessions would adhere to this general structure: an introduction to the basic concepts of the chosen topic, followed by more specific questions focused to the student where they would apply the skills and knowledge they have just learnt, and finally tackling specific questions or problems from past papers to apply everything from the session.
I have years experience with free-lance tutoring, ranging from KS3 Science to Oxbridge applications. One of my previous students is currently in their first year at Oxford.
