About Jeanette

My name is Jeanette, I have always loved math. I enjoy teaching children/adults that math is just numbers and that you don't need to fear the numbers. It encourages you to think outside the box and increases your self-confidence.

About the lesson

Maths lessons are unique because they blend abstract logic with tangible, real-world application, acting as a universal language that builds, connects, and applies concepts in a linear, building-block fashion. They foster critical thinking, collaboration, and flexible problem-solving, moving beyond mere memorization to encourage multiple strategies for reaching a solution.
Key characteristics that make maths lessons unique include:
Linear & Cumulative Structure: Maths builds on itself sequentially; mastering one concept is essential for the next, requiring consistent, active application rather than passive understanding.
Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving: Lessons often focus on critical thinking and developing "number sense," enabling students to solve non-routine problems rather than just memorizing formulas.
