About Grace

I've been a published author since I was fourteen and have written numerous works of poetry, fiction, and research articles - in both French and English. I enjoy helping others appreciate literature and acquire exemplary writing skills. Anyone can develop these skills, and I have tutored both middle schoolers and graduate students in them.

About the lesson

I focus on guided learning, using the student's works to teach the rules of grammar and composition and how to follow these rules in both academic and creative writing. This helps the student see how the rules apply to his or her own works, as well as why some things work and others don't.
When teaching literature and creative writing, I use the storytelling practices of a good writer to engage the student in the story and help with visualization. My students have found this to be very helpful, both in understanding classical literature and in writing their own stories that their readers can follow well enough to enjoy.
My lessons are excellent for summer enrichment, for helping your child start working at grade level, and to help your child learn beyond the regular lessons.
