About Shanshan
I am a native Chinese speaker and have recently moved to Bristol. Back in China, I have had some Mandarin tutoring experience and found it to be something I feel I'm good at, and is something I really enjoyed.
I have taught people at different levels, from beginner to advanced. I like to keep my students updated with the latest expressions and my class is always lots of fun.
I hope I can help more people on their way to learning Mandarin, and ideally help more people to get to know China as well.

For most of people, memorising all the Chinese words is a big problem. I also like to make interesting links to help my students memorise words and structures.
During my previous experience, I was often asked WHY -- why this word means that? Why two words are used differently but share the same meaning. I will be able to help you with these 'whys' : ) In China, Chinese is taught as a compulsory subject in school for 12 years. I was good at it and I have a love for it.
