About Sreyashi Koyel
Make yoga yours — not anyone else’s. Yoga is about connecting the mind with the inner spirit. It goes beyond the mat, beyond physical exercise, and even beyond me as a teacher. I’m here simply to guide you as you discover your own potential, your love for the body, and your admiration for the spirit. I began my yoga journey during one of the most difficult phases of my life, when I was struggling with depression. Stepping onto the mat for the first time gave me a sense of calm and grounding I didn’t know I needed — and it changed everything. That first step showed me how yoga can bring you back to your body, and that truth has stayed with me ever since. We are born with our body, and it is the only vessel we leave this world with. My teaching is rooted in helping you develop a better relationship with that body — one of respect, awareness, and compassion. I completed my 200-hour Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India — the yoga capital of the world — and began teaching right away. Yoga has become part of my daily life, and sharing it with others is one of my greatest joys. Classes won’t always be easy; sometimes you’ll sweat, sometimes you may even cry, and often we’ll laugh. But it will always be a journey worth walking — one that I would be honoured to walk with you.

My teaching blends traditional Hatha and Vinyasa practices, tailored to your needs and personality. As we progress together on your yoga journey, I’ll help you discover which style suits you best. Hatha focuses on holding specific postures with awareness — wonderful for building discipline and concentration (and especially supportive for those with an ADHD mind like mine!). Vinyasa, on the other hand, flows through dynamic sequences that energise the body and calm the mind. For me, yoga is not just about discipline but also about philosophy. Beyond the asanas (postures), I offer an in-depth exploration of yoga’s roots — from mythology to spiritual traditions. I believe knowledge empowers practice, especially in yoga where religion and spirituality are often misunderstood. That’s why I explain the why behind everything we do: from breathing techniques to chanting mantras. This makes yoga accessible to everyone — whether or not you connect with the philosophy, you’ll still find your own inner peace. Yoga, after all, is a science of self-discovery. Each class begins with breathwork and gently builds into asana sequences. My approach balances tradition with modern life, so you can experience authentic yoga practice while comfortably integrating it into your daily routine at home.
