  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    The subject of the 'Yoga' discipline to me is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which
    focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. Also, the idea of attaining fitness levels to me is very crucial to both physical and mental well-being.
    And, there's a brief story concerning my interest in yoga that develops in my home and I should mention here when I was in school time my parents used to study yoga & naturopathy. I conjointly used to read their yoga scriptures and practice books, and because of this, my interest in yoga & fitness started increasing. So I started practicing meditation & Ashtangyoga vinyasa at school time. I developed to become a fitness enthusiast as well.

    Later of years, I thought of pursuing B.Sc in Yogic science from 'Sawasthya Kalyan institute of yoga and naturopathy' (SVYSA) & Mater degree in yoga from 'Jain Vishva Bharti University' after my schooling. At that time, I become a fitness trainer in 'Talwalkars Better Value fitness'. I do want to learn more theoretical as well, so I did UGC- NET in yoga studies.

    Thus alongside my studies, I started teaching yoga.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    During my teaching, a lot of clients achieved their fitness level goals and improved their health through Yoga & fitness training. My parents who were the initial ones in my journey motivated me a lot.
  • How does your work help society?

    This enables me to help people in their lives in such a way that involves attaining overall fitness values, & mental health, thus to assists people to strengthen their overall productivity at work.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    Well, my role models are those who have influenced my professional life including my parents, as well as people in this very field.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Apart from practicing yoga, my hobbies are gyming, Zumba, cooking, blogs, gardening, & music.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    In all of my experience of teaching yoga in 9+ years, there was this pronounced switch that I have to adapt to this mode of online teaching.
    So I wasn't exactly sure about how everything is going to work out. But to see the positive feedback of so many clients encouraged me to keep continuing through this mode.
