I believe in engaging the whole person when learning. Learning should and will be fun. An example of my teaching style was when I taught the Berlin Airlift I had the class make paper airplanes then half of the class would be Berliners whose job was to get the airplanes before the the designated Communist could get them. The other half of the students were to throw airplanes every three seconds. Afterwards we discussed how the Berliners felt, how the Americans felt and how the Communist felt. We discussed the importance of conducting this airlift and what it could prevent.
