About Charles

I am an avid history lover and the subject simply fascinates me, providing with amazing insights into Ancient civilisations and peoples, however a lot of people don’t share this enjoyment which is why I want to change that by teaching History.

About the lesson

I predominantly teach GCSE and A level history.

History is a subject which is split into two main areas of concern; the content and the writing skills necessary to demonstrate your understanding of said content. In my lessons I start by creating a clear structure and idea of tthe specification of whatever qualification the student is trying to ascertain. Through breaking down the specification it becomes clear what the student is required to know, and from there we can begin learning. Once the student is familiar with enough of the content, then we would begin practising their writing skills and hopefully this should shortly lead to an improvement of their grade. However, every student is different and would their own tailored approach which I am capable of providing.
