About Inna
I have a background in international law and in China I obtained a diploma in Chinese language and culture. I graduated from Xiamen University and Beijing Language and Culture University. I have worked in schools and translation companies in China. By nationality I am Ukrainian, I am also fluent in Russian and English.

I prepare materials myself, I already have books and lessons prepared. My methodology is to make my students speak. One of the main goals of discussion-based learning is to facilitate the meaningful transition of students to the extended conversation that is every academic discipline. Discussions allow students to practice applying their learning and developing critical thinking skills in real-time interactions with other points of view. Often the challenge for the teacher is to get students to engage in discussions as opportunities to practice their reasoning skills rather than just exchanging opinions. A trick to meeting this challenge is to create a rubric to rate the discussion and assign certain students to the role of reviewers who provide feedback at the end of the discussion. Students take on this role throughout the semester, which also benefits the development of their skills.
