About Greg
Retired Ph.D.mechanical engineer.
I have been teaching/tutoring for over five years.
Taught math for 2 years at DSU.
Teaching (and/or taught) at residential treatment facilities.

Worked with numerous students with special needs.
Courses taught or tutored: math (pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, precalculus, calculus, and statistics), physics and chemistry.
Classes include calculus, pre-calculus, algebra, geometry, statistics, and physics. I have also tutored all of these subjects, plus chemistry, engineering, computer programming, and test taking skills in mathematics. All of my students taking the ACT/SAT improved their score, on average, by 25%.

Retired Ph.D.mechanical engineer.
Test taking specialist. Understanding how the questions are created, enables me to I teach the theory of ACT test taking including how to evaluate a question to enable students to decide when to guess and when to solve a question. I also teach the "art of guessing".Furthermore I teach students how to decrease the time required to answer questions. After teaching these skills, I go over previous exams and explain how to answer each question to demonstrate these skills and I also review the basic math concepts required.
Success rate has been a minimum increase in score of 15% and a maximum (so far) of 35% over previous test scores.

I add travel expenses for distances over 10 miles.
I charge a cancellation fee of $20 only if cancellation is less than 1 hour before a lesson.
