About Parham

I hold a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from McMaster University, where my research focused on optical wireless communications. I have 7+ years of teaching experience as a TA at both McMaster and the University of Tehran, and I have tutored 130+ students across +1100 hours throughout Canada and the US.

My engineering background means I teach math the way it's actually used — with intuition and purpose, not just procedures. I know exactly where students get stuck, whether it's a grade 11 functions concept or a second-year university proof, and I build each session around your specific course material.

About the lesson

Every session is built around your course — your textbook, your professor's slides, your upcoming exam. I don't use generic problem sets; I work through what you're actually struggling with right now.

Here's what a typical session looks like: we start by identifying exactly where you're stuck, I walk you through the concept from first principles until it clicks, then we practice with exam-style problems until you can do it on your own. I record sessions on request and send typed notes after each lesson.

I'm available for one-time exam prep sessions as well as ongoing weekly tutoring. Most students see a noticeable improvement within 2–3 sessions. Reach out to confirm availability — I typically respond within an hour.

1. Free 30-Minute Introductory Session
Enjoy a complimentary 30-minute introductory session to discuss your learning needs, academic goals, and create a personalized learning plan. This session is designed to help us get acquainted and determine whether we're a good fit to work together.

Please note:
➤ The introductory session is for consultation only and does not include tutoring or assistance with assignments, homework, or exam preparation.
➤ If you already know you'd like to work with me, you're welcome to skip the introductory session and book your first lesson directly.
➤ This offer does not apply to urgent or same-day requests, or to sessions booked when a midterm or final exam is less than two weeks away.

2. Pricing Information

➤ The listed price reflects the base rate. Current rates for popular courses are as follows:

● High School Mathematics (Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors, BC Pre-Calculus 11 & 12): $50/hour
● High School Physics (Physics 11 & 12): $60/hour
● Calculus I & II: $50/hour
● Calculus III & IV (Multivariate Calculus): $60/hour
● Differential Equations: $60/hour
● Probability and Random Processes: $60/hour
● Statistics: $60/hour
● Linear Algebra: $60/hour

For courses not listed above, please inquire directly.

➤ In-person lessons: An additional $10–$20 per hour travel fee applies, depending on the location.
➤ 10-hour package: Receive a 10% discount when you prepay for 10 hours in advance.
➤ Financial difficulties: If the listed rates present a financial challenge, please feel free to reach out. I may be able to accommodate your situation depending on the course and my availability.

3. Payment Policy
➤ Payment must be completed at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. You may pay securely through Superprof or via e-transfer, depending on your convenience.
➤ Urgent/same-day sessions may be available depending on my availability, but an additional fee will apply.

4. Cancellation & No‑Show Policy
➤ Payments are non‑refundable if you cancel fewer than 24 hours before the scheduled start time or if you do not attend.
➤ A session is considered a no‑show if the student has not arrived within the first 15 minutes.
