About Lu

Hello! I'm a native Chinese speaker with a deep passion for sharing my language and culture. With a Master's in Finance and Economics and a career as a software developer, I have a strong academic foundation and a methodical approach to education that I bring to each of my Mandarin lessons.

As a single mom working from home, I've found innovative ways to engage my daughter in learning Chinese, leveraging both my language skills and creative teaching methods. This personal experience has inspired me to help others on their language learning journey.

I believe in creating a personalized, engaging, and interactive learning environment that not only teaches Mandarin but also immerses students in the rich tapestry of Chinese culture. From pronunciation to classic literature, and even cultural events like cooking and dining, I am dedicated to making language learning a holistic and enjoyable experience.

Join me in discovering the beauty and intricacies of Mandarin. Whether you're learning for travel, business, or personal enrichment, I'm here to guide you through a rewarding learning process that's tailored to your individual goals.

My Story:

Having navigated the challenges of learning English as a second language, I understand the hurdles and rewards of language acquisition. This personal journey has equipped me with valuable strategies to facilitate your Mandarin learning process effectively. Join me and my daughter, a fluent Chinese speaker and my little teaching assistant, as we explore the nuances of Mandarin together.

Unlike passive online resources, our approach emphasizes active, interactive learning. Drawing inspiration from my daughter's experience with personalized piano tutoring, I've seen firsthand the benefits of guided, consistent practice.
