About Emily
I hold a degree in Zoology with Marine Biology and have extensive experience in biological sciences, statistics, scientific writing, literature reviews, and ecological field methods. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications, allowing me to explain complex topics clearly and effectively.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in biology and develop the skills needed to succeed in exams, coursework, and further education. Whether you are studying GCSE or A-level Biology, preparing for university, or tackling undergraduate modules, I provide patient, professional, and tailored support to suit your learning style and goals.
My aim is not only to improve grades but also to foster genuine understanding and enthusiasm for the subject, and clear any worries. As well as provide advice for those wanting to seek an undergraduate degree in similar subjects.

I use a tailored approach for the individual student, but I always use, especially for GCSE or A-level students slideshows for clear understanding, exam techniques and studying advice, practical examples and an interactive approach. I can also offer advice for those wanting to go into a similar field.
Lessons will be online and last 60 minutes. But can be longer if needed and students can reach out any time with questions.
With a Zoology and Marine Biology degree, I have a strong statistics and research experience. I have taken many exams within the field of biology, have a lot of experience in laboratory and written many scientific reports/papers on various subjects from evolution and genetics, to ecology. All of which required applied statistics as well. I have researched abroad in Brazil, Greece and Costa Rica.
I have also tutored kids Biology and chemistry in my local area. And I have been an advisor/tutor for STEM essay competition, advising post A-level students in essays on subjects on biochemistry, archaeology etc.
I can teach GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate biology related subjects. I can also help with homework and assignments if necessary.
