About Mikayla
I am a 4th year undergraduate completing my Bachelor's degree in Zoology and have excelled in: Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Organic Chemistry, Ecology, Animal Nutrition, and Histology. Additionally, I have worked as a veterinary assistant, receptionist, and technician across three different clinics treating small animals and exotics, both in general practice and emergency (current job). I have extensive equine experience outside of the veterinary world, competing in competitions as well buying, selling, raising, and training several horses.

I always start with figuring out the best way to teach a student, whether it is done best with models, graphs, verbal vs written communication, etc, or any combination or the above. Then I like to work with them to find out the best study method for them, which can be a make-or-break for a student's success (especially for students with time constraints...like me!).
I am very flexible to accomodate students of different needs, and thus I form individualized lesson plans depending on your needs. This can look like a time to work through assignments, papers, and projects, or it could be set up as a course that I create that we can work through at your pace... whatever plan you prefer and best keeps your mind focused.
