About Michael
I am a 20 year old native English and French speaker. I grew up and went to high school in Paris, but my parents are originally from Philadelphia and have spoken English with me all my life. I graduated from high school with an 18.46/20 (equivalent to an A+ or 4GPA) for French language and culture. Additionally, I have acquired my certificate for passing the French Baccalaureate. I have been tutoring french for about two years and have gotten back very positive results from students, where some went from severely failing the class to having quite high marks. I have been told my tutoring style is very patient and supportive, while going over all the material carefully.

From teaching past students, I noticed helping them understand French grammar with techniques I learned in my native french classes helped give their fluency a huge boost. Furthermore, by repeating basic sentence structure, speaking in french with someone who is fluent in the language will also improve their understanding tremendously. I try to teach with a hands on approach, allowing students to actively explain to me the material and concepts reviewed during the class, where I will correct them when needed.
