About Maguta
I am a fourth-year Civil Engineering student at the University of Cape Town with a strong interest in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I have always enjoyed breaking down complex concepts and helping others understand challenging material, which is what drew me to tutoring.
I am interested in teaching because I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and develop a clearer understanding of their work. Having recently navigated high school and university myself, I understand the pressures students face and find it rewarding to support them through their academic journey. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and capable of achieving their goals.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am a Civil Engineering student who actively applies Math, Physics, and Chemistry at a high academic level. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly and approach problems logically, rather than relying on memorization.
Having recently completed Grade 12 and the early years of university, I understand the challenges students face and explain difficult topics in a patient, structured, and approachable way. My goal is to build confidence, improve results, and equip students with problem-solving skills they can use independently.
