About Anna

I am a First Class Honors graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London, which highlights my passion and dedication to learning. I have over eight years of experience tutoring English as a Second Language, and I've taught students from Indonesia, Japan, China, and Taiwan! I have completed a 150-hour TEFL and a 120-hour TESOL certification, so you can be sure you are in expert hands with me. I am kind, empathetic, and approachable, ensuring my classroom is a safe and welcoming space for all students. I currently live in London, UK, but my passion is traveling! I absolutely love to visit new countries and learn about different world cultures and food whenever I can!

About the lesson

I believe learning should be fun, and so prioritize my students' individual interests to help them learn in a dynamic and engaging way. If you love travel, let's plan an imaginary round-the-world trip! Is art your passion? Let's discuss famous painters and their works. I like to incorporate TPR, props, and visual aids that help students grasp new concepts through different mediums. A typical 30-minute class with me will consist of a friendly warm-up exercise to get students' brains engaged, followed by an introduction of the lesson topic and objective. I then take students through some guided practice activities where they can become familiar with the new concept(s) through reading and writing. We will then have interactive speaking practice, where students can really get creative with their new language! Finally, we will wrap up and I can provide the student with some practice materials to do as homework (these are not compulsory to complete, but I am happy to look over these in the next lesson if the student wants to complete them!)
