About Willie
"Teaching guitar became the best part of my week after 13 years of playing and performing. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. My career spans 13 years of gigging in various indie rock bands across Sydney and Melbourne.
I work with kids, teens, and advanced players who want to sharpen their technique or improvisation. My approach simplifies complex scales, modes, and ear training into manageable chunks. You will find my style casual and focused on helping you find your own voice on the instrument."

"Picture us sitting down to tackle a tricky chord transition or adjusting your electric technique while the amp hums in the corner. I use the knowledge gained from 13 years in the industry to make sure your tuning and maintenance habits keep your gear in top shape.
We might spend time on grade exam prep or work through reading tabs for a specific song you love. My background at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music informs how I break down acoustic technique for intermediate learners. I enjoy observing how students grow as they become more comfortable with their soloing abilities. The process feels much like a band rehearsal where we experiment until the sound clicks.
You might ask me about how I handled a specific gigging challenge or how I approach writing a new guitar line. Most students appreciate this direct path to getting their playing where they want it to go. It feels like a natural conversation about music rather than a rigid lecture."
