About Kristen
I have a passion for science and the environment (a little nerdy, I know). Following my Bachelor of Science, I continued my studies with a PhD in mine tailings. My Honours thesis focused on the effects of soil wettability on water repellency and rate of recovery of eucalypt soils post bushfire in Eastern Victoria. I have recently moved up to the Sunny state, to follow my career in Hydrogeology.

I like to mix it up a little. I focus on the students needs and what they struggling with. My approach is understanding the curriculum and course work, followed by testing the students general knowledge, but we're not going to sit and do quizzes - I want to understand your strengths and things that may not be your strengths. At the end of the day I am here to help you! Together we will work through the coursework and the areas of weakness. I particularly like being interactive, using physical experiments, examples and ka-hoot to study. This worked to me when I was studying, as reading straight from a text book just didn't work, it's not how I learn and I don't expect you to be the same!

My rate does not depend on student levels, I have a fixed rate. This is the same for my travel costs, I have a standard $15 travel fee per session. I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, this is only to give other students the opportunity to fill that tutoring space! Thank you
