About Sara
Precision in double stops and vibrato provides the technical foundation I emphasize for my violin students. I remember the exact weight shift required for shifting positions during my 10 years playing in regional chamber ensembles.
These specific skills define my method today. After transitioning into teaching full-time, I focused on the mechanical details of posture and hold. Tuning by ear remains a critical component of the early guidance I offer. My work supports performance-focused students and those preparing for grade exams.

Technique must always support the music rather than act as a barrier to it. I teach from my diploma training to ensure students understand the physical realities of the violin. 6 years of teaching have taught me that rhythm and timing require constant vigilance. Intonation practice is a centerpiece of our time together.
We break down complex shifting positions into manageable physical movements. I emphasize a slow pace to ensure the posture and hold remain consistent throughout the piece. Your development will be consistent. I hope the music becomes clear.
