About Gina
Hello! I’m a Deaf ASL educator and tutor with a few years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I’ve worked with high school and college students, museum staff, and professionals, helping them build confidence in signing and better understand Deaf culture. My lessons are interactive and tailored to your needs. I focus on real-life communication using visual learning, role-playing, and cultural insights to make ASL fun and easy to understand. I’ve taught in schools, museums, and online platforms, and I’m currently an instructor with several sign language organizations. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a BFA in Graphic Design, which helps me create clear and engaging materials for my students. Learning ASL with me means getting authentic language skills from a Deaf native signer while feeling supported every step of the way.

I am Deaf and work as an ASL educator and tutor, providing instruction to a wide range of learners—from teens to adult professionals. My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, whether you’re a high school or college student preparing for tests, a beginner looking to build conversational skills, or a professional learning ASL for work.
My teaching method focuses on interactive, real-life practice. I combine visual learning, role-playing, and cultural insights to make lessons accessible and engaging. A typical lesson includes a warm-up, guided practice with new vocabulary or grammar, and interactive activities such as dialogues, storytelling, and receptive skill exercises.
What sets me apart is that I bring the authentic perspective of a Deaf native signer while also knowing how to bridge communication for hearing learners. My lessons go beyond memorizing signs, helping students truly understand Deaf culture and natural ASL use.
I have tutored museum staff, taught 8th graders at a public school in New York, and worked with staff at a NYC museum. I am also an ASL instructor with three sign language organizations, where I create content, curricula, and presentations to make learning both fun and effective.
I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a BFA in Graphic Design, where I strengthened my ASL skills and developed a visual approach that now enhances my teaching.
