About Kelly
I have received my 200 hour Yoga teacher training (YTT) from a local yoga studio and then further received my 50 hour yin yoga training shortly after. Before receiving these certifications, I practiced yoga for over 10 years (and continue to do so today).
I have been a Board Certified Behaviour Analysis (BCBA) for the past 6 years and have really been focusing on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and furthering that practice for the past 3 years.

I have a passion to connect my day-job as a behaviour analyst with the practice of yoga - my absolute passion.
Within my classes, I will incorporate, not only the movement piece but also how to incorporate acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) into your practice. This will give you the tools to bring your practice on and off your mat.
A snapshot into ACT:
1. Acceptance: the practice of recognizing that good and bad things can happen
2. Defusion: the practice of releasing and separating yourself away from negative thoughts
3. Values: finding what it is that makes you who you are today and what is most important to you
4. Committed actions: the steps you will take to live towards your values
5. Present moment awareness: to live in what is happening right in front of you rather than getting hung up on your past or future
6. Self as context: recognizing that you are separate from the roles you play but rather there is an inner true self that never changes
