About James

My name is James, and I’m in my final year studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick. Having achieved four A*s at A-Level and seven grade 8–9s at GCSE, I understand what it takes to reach the top grades.

I have 2 years' experience working for a private tutoring firm. I’m a friendly and patient tutor who goes the extra mile to help students feel confident and well-prepared before their exams. I tutor students for 11+, GCSE, and A-Level Maths, as well as Further Maths. I have experience preparing students for Maths Challenges and Olympiads. I teach all exam boards. After each lesson, I set targeted homework to consolidate the material we have covered and help students retain what they have learned.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to build confidence, exam technique, and a deep understanding of the subject. Each lesson is an hour on Zoom or another platform of your choice. I focus on exam-style practice, using past papers and targeted revision materials to boost performance and grades. I also provide students with curated resources and websites to help them revise efficiently between sessions. Whether you’re aiming for a top grade or just want to improve your grade, I’ll support you every step of the way.

I achieved A*A*A*A* in A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Computer Science, and I’m currently studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick. I’ve been tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths and Further Maths for over two years through a private tutoring company, working with students of all levels. I teach all exam boards.

I’m a friendly, patient tutor who believes every student can improve — no matter where they are starting from.

Each lesson comes with exam resources and targeted homework with questions specific to the topics we covered during our lesson. After each lesson, I send a detailed report containing the content covered in our lesson, what the student did well, how they can improve, and the next steps.
