I adapt my lessons to meet the needs of the students. Some students are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some are tactile learners. Each lesson is tailor made. LESSON PLAN Essential Question. What were the strengths and weaknesses of the North and the South at the beginning of the US Civil War. After reading about the strengths and weaknesses of both sides, we will discuss the differences and using a Venn diagram, we will place the pros and cons of each side and see if there are any that both sides share equally. We will then watch a 15-minute video that looks at the pros and concerns of each side. We will then discuss how these strengths and weaknesses might affect the outcome of the war. Wrap up. Students will look at the information given in today’s lessons and predict which side will win the war, giving 3 examples why.
