About Rachel
My philosophy surrounding being an educator is focussed on understanding my students unique needs prior to any direct instruction. I have struggled in my life with various learning difficulties and know how to improve understanding using a variety of methods, with special focus on helping fine tune executive function in any subject. Patience, repetition, and listening skills are imperative to my teaching.
I am a lover of science and the natural world, living and raising my family in Chicago. Can't wait to hear from you!

I am a 35-year-old former CPS and private school teacher with a masters degree in science education. I have been a classroom teacher for 5+ years with 10+ years of experience as a tutor, home school teacher, programs director, nanny/household manager, and educator in project-based informal settings with youth 1-18 years old. I have experience working with IEP and 504 students, as well as learners with special needs.
