About Esperanza
Technical precision drives my teaching philosophy. I focus on the structural integrity of every performance. My instruction covers the technical gamut including scales and arpeggios, ear training, posture, and hand position.
Hand independence remains a core priority for my students. Accompaniment skills and jazz improvisation allow for creative exploration alongside classical study.
I frequently guide students through pop, contemporary, and nuanced pedaling technique. Dynamics and expression define the difference between playing notes and creating music. Watching a student master a complex passage is immensely satisfying.
