About Jenna
I am a High School Math teacher from Forest Lake, Minnesota that just moved to the Northbrook area after getting married in July 2026. I love teaching students and want to continue working with them as I work to get relicensed in the state of Illinois. I am willing to work with students from the surrounding area as well such as Glenview, Glencoe, Northfield, etc.
I have 3 years of experience working with students from grades 9-12, but would love to broaden that experience into lower grade levels from middle school to upper elementary.
I also love to coach sports like track & field and cross-country skiing. I believe that teaching and coaching work hand in hand and it’s a great way to build better relationships with students that I have in the classroom.
I am first and foremost a motivator for my students. They all know that I am there to support them and build their confidence with a subject as tough as math and get them through it.

I take on a very demonstrator type teaching style. In my tutoring sessions, I like there to be a lot of discussion between myself and the student to be able to understand their misconceptions better.
Lessons are one-on-one focused work time on how to attack math problems with confidence and gain a deeper understanding of the underlying goals in knowing mathematics.
