As a professional in the fitness industry, I am committed to staying current with industry standards to ensure I provide the most accurate and up-to-date information. I am a registered exercise professional (REPs), an organization that supports fitness professionals in keeping pace with the latest developments in this constantly evolving field. I actively maintain and expand my knowledge by attending conferences, as well as participating in both online and face-to-face training throughout the year. I believe ongoing learning is a vital part of being an effective mentor for those entering the fitness industry. Teaching has always been my passion. I am genuinely interested in people and their unique fitness journeys—whatever that may look like for them—and I take pride in supporting and guiding them towards their goals.

I have spent the past 17 years as a Group Fitness Coordinator, where I created and implemented a wide variety of group fitness programs, both land- and water-based. A key part of my role was mentoring and training group fitness instructors, preparing them to be confident and stage-ready. For 14 years, I also served as an assessor for group fitness instructors, personal trainers, and gym-based instructors, ensuring industry standards were met and upheld.
Currently, I work within the community, teaching senior fitness programs that include both standing and seated formats. I also facilitate group fitness workshops for aqua instructors and deliver first aid training to the general public. My teaching style blends practical application with theory, always considering the diverse ways people learn. While my workshops typically run for eight hours, I also offer one-on-one sessions tailored to individual needs.
Over the years, I have worked with students of all ages and fitness levels, and I believe that everyone has the potential to teach—it’s simply about unlocking their inner teacher.
