I’m a piano tutor with 14 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach centers on developing critical thinking and musicality, tailored to each student’s unique needs. I believe in a holistic learning experience that includes music theory, ear training, history, and technical skills. This well-rounded method helps students not only play well but understand the music deeply. I have worked with students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, and even Professional/Expert musicians. My goal is to support every learner in building confidence and expressing themselves through the piano. Lessons are designed to challenge you while keeping creativity and enjoyment at the heart of learning. I encourage curiosity and problem-solving, helping you grow as a thoughtful and skilled musician. My teaching approach is built around understanding each student’s goals and adapting lessons to fit their needs. I focus on piano skills while also covering important areas like music theory, history, and creative skills such as composition. Whether you want to prepare for exams like ABRSM, Rockschool, or A-Levels, I guide you step-by-step through the curriculum to build strong foundations.

I emphasize practical playing and understanding, helping you connect with the music beyond just notes. For those interested in jazz, I teach improvisation, chord progressions, and rhythm to help develop a strong, creative voice at the piano. If you prefer pop styles, I focus on playing with feel, modern rhythms, and songwriting techniques to support your musical expression.

Rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading are part of every lesson, ensuring well-rounded growth. I encourage creativity, helping you compose and arrange your own music as you progress. Lessons are interactive and fun, mixing theory with practice to keep you motivated.
