About Ria
I have been a tutor for mathematic, english, and science for the past 4 years, working with students of all ages. I have further specifically tutored students in preparing for standardized exams, with successful passing rates. I am currently in the pre-med track at George Washington University, and I am able to assist my peers with material that is challenging. I have much professional experience as I work as a medical scribe, which has taught me critical thinking and communication skills.

I have experience breaking down seemingly challenging topics into easier, more manageable sections to prevent frustration and to encourage students to continue working through the topic. I have worked tutoring students from kindergarten to high school age, so I am prepared to work with any student! I have also worked with special needs children to teach math, english, and life skills which have developed my teaching skills and made me very patient when teaching a new subject. A typical class would include reviewing past material, working on trouble areas and new material, and periodic assessments to evaluate progress or areas that need improvement. I am very flexible and willing to work with the student and guardian to develop a personalized plan!
