I believe I’d make a great tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow. I’m patient, approachable, and happy to take the time to make sure students feel supported and confident in their learning. With over five years of professional experience as a developer, data scientist, and analyst, I bring both technical expertise and a passion for teaching to the role of coding tutor. My background includes working across diverse industries such as mining, rail, and consulting, where I developed and delivered analytics applications, wrote clean and efficient code in Python, R, SQL, and C#, and collaborated with teams to solve complex problems.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to break down complex programming concepts into clear, understandable steps. I know firsthand the challenges of learning to code, and I’ve mentored colleagues and junior developers by tailoring explanations to their learning style—whether that’s through hands-on examples, visual explanations, or real-world problem-solving scenarios.
