About Daniel
I have been a private tutor for 6 years and have tutored hundreds of students in total, so I have seen students with many different types of requirements for learning. Over my years I have taught every level of education including GCSE, A-Level, STEP+MAT university entrance exams and have even taught undergraduates.
I volunteer at multiple schools throughout the year as a private tutor for both those who are excelling and need a boost and those who are struggling and need help getting to grip with the basics. These schools have seen excellent progress in the students I have had sessions with, and have invited me back for specific assistance many times over the years.
I have been working at a professional London international tutoring agency for over a year working with students whose first language is not english. These students vary in skill level from GCSE to undergraduate level, and so I have lots of experience across the board.
Above all, I love my subject and am very passionate about teaching people simple approaches to what is often viewed as a very complicated area.

My lessons are all about personalised, directed learning. The first lesson or two are about figuring out exactly why the tutee struggles, not what they struggle to do. For almost all students, solving the problem of how to learn is the best way to kickstart the learning process. Once we are on the same page and have discussed the best way for them to learn I take a very rigorous and careful approach to tutoring. Over the years I have demonstrated that everyone has the ability to learn even the most difficult topics, as long as a careful logical approach is followed with a good grounding and lots of patience.
Typically, a lesson will last around an hour, but this varies significantly depending on both tutee availability and the difficulty of the content being taught. I am very free and so have a lot of time to give to my students, and with over a years’ experience working within an international tutoring firm in London I have a lot of patience working with tutees that struggle with communication.
I have a 1st class master’s degree in Physics from University College London and a 1st class bachelor’s degree from the University of Warwick in mathematics and physics. I also have A*'s (Grade 8-9 in new system) in both mathematics and physics A-Level and GCSE.
