About Micayla
I am a former classroom teacher with over five years of experience supporting students in their academic growth. My Approach as a Tutor
Teaching method & techniques
My approach is patient, structured, and highly individualized. I meet each student where they are academically and emotionally, then build skills step by step. A typical lesson plan
Each session begins with a brief check-in and review of previous material. I then introduce or reinforce a skill using guided practice, examples, and student participation. Lessons include a mix of instruction, practice, and discussion to keep students engaged. We end with a quick recap and a simple takeaway or practice activity when helpful.
