About George
I have spent 35 years in education and at the end of every year I would evaluate my performance with an emphasis on areas in which I felt I needed improvement. I would then research these areas and the latest research on effective teaching techniques and decide which ones I could incorporate into my teaching to maximize my effectiveness in the classroom. My commitment has always been to my students and instructing in a way that provides success in every lesson which I have found is crucial to keeping students motivated and challenged.

I work primarily in remedial education through tutoring so my approach is always to first determine where the student in functioning in a subject area by determining strengths and weaknesses and the begin building on the strengths and building confidence while at the same time remediating any areas of weakness. Every lesson plan is developed before a lesson designed to review and reinforce past lessons and to then introduce new material. I always creat lessons that both guarantee a certain level of success while at the same time introducing new challenges but only after he has demonstrated a basic understanding. I make sure that every lesson ends with a victory.
