About Ruthie
Hello! My name is Ruth, and I am a certified science teacher with over 23 years of classroom experience. Throughout my career, I have taught hundreds of students and developed engaging lessons that help learners build confidence and achieve success in science.
I specialize in middle school science, including Life Science, Earth and Space Science, genetics, cells, ecosystems, geology, and scientific inquiry. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my instruction to meet individual learning needs and learning styles.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing as learners. I break down complex scientific concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and use real-world examples to make learning meaningful and memorable.

I believe students learn best when science is engaging, interactive, and connected to real-world experiences. My teaching approach combines clear explanations, visual learning, hands-on activities, and guided practice.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of prior knowledge and a discussion question or phenomenon to spark curiosity. I then introduce new content using visuals, examples, and interactive explanations. Students practice applying their knowledge through activities, problem-solving tasks, or discussions. Lessons conclude with a quick assessment or reflection to check understanding and identify areas that may need additional support.
With over 23 years of classroom teaching experience, I understand the challenges students face and how to help them build confidence in science
