About Yong Zhi
Hi, I'm Chen Yong Zhi, and I wasn't always the best at Mathematics. In fact, I used to struggle with it—until I met a teacher who truly changed the way I saw the subject. With patience, kindness, and encouragement, he helped me build my confidence and eventually sparked a genuine love for learning Math. Inspired by that experience, I now strive to be that kind of teacher for my students. My goal is not just to teach, but to help students enjoy learning. I focus on understanding each child’s learning style, identifying their strengths and challenges, and guiding them in a way that builds both skill and confidence. I believe that with the right support, every child can excel in Math, and even come to love it.

My tutoring approach begins with understanding each student’s unique learning style and adapting my methods to best suit their needs. Through open and consistent communication, I aim to identify their strengths and areas for improvement in Mathematics—transforming weaknesses into strengths and further developing their existing capabilities into areas of excellence. I believe in practicing patience, especially with primary school children, to help build their confidence and foster a genuine enjoyment for learning. Mathematics should not feel like a chore, but rather a subject that is engaging and rewarding.
