About Amana
I am in my last year of school and am able to offer help in additional work to the 11+ in English, maths and science up to year 9. From helping people from younger years with their homework I have learnt to be clear in my approach and easy to talk to. By teaching children from other schools with their homework I have built up a relationship with them in order for them to trust me so that we make the best use of the time available. I am very friendly and easy to talk to and am willing to help with whatever you need either on the weekend or after school hours.

I first identify where the student needs help, then I go through various examples and exercises involving the difficult subject matter. I am very engaging and interactive within my teaching and like to make the lessons fun by quizzing and giving out prizes and stickers for those of younger years. I like to get to know who I am teaching and build up a relationship so that they are comfortable. I will try to set appropriate homework to give the student extra practice on their targeted area. I usually help younger children from other schools such as All Saints school every Tuesday with their homework such as English, maths and more. These sessions are normally 1hour 30 mins. I have been tutoring these children for roughly a year now and so am more confident in my tutoring and communication skills.
